JAMMU, July 10: Dr T R Raina, Administrator of Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphala and former Professor & Head Blood Transfusion Department GMC Jammu has been nominated as Technical Member of Governing Body of National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC).
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India today, issued an order to this effect. The Governing Body of NBTC consist of the Secretary & the Additional Secretary of National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) as President and Vice President and Additional Director General Blood Safety NACO as Member Secretary.
The other members of the Governing Body of NBTC are Director General of Health Services Government of India, Drug Controller General of India, Secretary General Indian Red Cross Society, President Medical Council of India, Director AIIMS New Delhi, Director SBTC Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu States and representatives of NGO’s & Indian Medical Association.
Nomination of Dr Raina to this prestigious body of the country was made in recognization of the services rendered by him in the field of Transfusion Medicine at the national level.
