Gurukul Vidyapeeth launches new engineering branches

JAMMU, July 10: Gurukul Vidyapeeth has launched Petrochem Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and  Aeronautical Engineering  thus becoming first ever institute of North India to  offer these courses.
Announcing launch of the new courses here today, Additional Project Director of the Institute, Satpal Sharma said that the AICTE approved B Tech in Petrochem, Marine, Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering was much more than other courses. “The Program offers great job placements alternate to existing program, he said.
Talwinder Singh Randhawa, Admission Coordinator J&K, said the need was felt to introduce this specialized branch in Engineering to cater to growing demand of specialized skills in India as well as abroad. “Petrochem, Marine, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineers“ are in great demand, but short of supply.  Gurukul Vidyapeeth intends to fill this gap by providing specialized Engineers of this kind of engineering in future. Our aim is to serve the nation by providing specialized technocrats and enabling students to explore newer vistas of opportunities,” he said.
Gurpreet Singh (Additional Director) said that Petrochem, Marine, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering is a very high paying Engineering Program. Monthly salary of a Chief Engineer is above Rs 5 lacs, of second Engineer is Rs 4 to 5 lacs, and of the third Engineer is Rs 3.00 to 3.5 lacs, of the fourth Engineer is Rs 2.5 to 3.00 lacs and that of fifth Engineer is Rs 200000 to 250000.
To begin with Gurukul Vidyapeeth is offering sixty seats of per stream and these would be a filled as per AICTE norms. Gurukul Vidyapeeth will charge Rs. 45000 per semester per student as fee for teaching the course.
