SAMBA, July 10: The burglars decamped with Rs 7000 cash and five tolas of gold from the house of Sukhdev Singh in the village of Khanwala in Samba district late last night.
According to reports Sukhdev was on the naka during the night along with a group of other villagers to safeguard the village from the burglars after the increasing thefts took place from the Kathua and Samba districts during last two months.
The Samba Police has registered a case but no one was arrested so far.
