Councillor starts up-gradation work of drains

JAMMU, Sept 24: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Sham Lal Basson of Ward 48 here today started up-gradation work of drains at Bazigar Basti, Bahu Fort which will incur an expenditure of Rs. 3.62 lakh.
AEE, Mengi, JE, Khalid and president of Bazigar Basti were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Basson said that every Mohalla of Ward 48 will be covered under different developmental activities.
He informed that parking problem will be solved at an earliest with the construction of multi-layer parking facility at Gorakh Nagar.
He further said that to tackle the problem of water shortage a detailed project report has been submitted to the authorities concerned and work of more lanes and drains will be taken up shortly.
Prof (retd) Chaman Lal Shivgotra, Tara Chand, Rattan Lal, Hans Raj, Sewa Ram, Mewa Ram, Sham Kalsi, Vikas, Sanju Kalsi, Ajeet Kumar Hans, Joginder Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
