2 thieves nabbed in Sopore, vehicle seized

JAMMU, Sept 26: Police today said to have arrested two thieves and seized a vehicle used in the commission of crime North Kashmir’s Sopore.
Sopore Police received specific information that during the intervening night of 25/26 Sept 2021, 02 thieves identified as Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Gaffar Sheikh and Tahir Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Ghani Bhat both residents of Sangri Colony Baramulla have stolen apples from orchards at Gurseer Sopore.
“On receipt of this information, Officers from Police Station Tarzoo after strenuous efforts ultimately arrested both the accused persons involved in the commission of the crime. They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle (Load Carrier) bearing registration number JK04F-1604 used in the commission of crime has also been seized,” police said.
It said that accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 109/2021 under the relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
