JAMMU, Sept 28: In the run up to the 75th Independence Day celebration of India, under the aegis of National Cadet Corps Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, Group Headquarter Jammu with four J&K Bn NCC, Jammu conducted the wreath laying ceremony in a professional manner and paid tribute to Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal, the Savior of Kashmir at Rajinderpura Park, Samba (J&K).
Statues of Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal, have been adopted by 4 J&K Bn NCC, Jammu and is cleaned and maintained at regular basis.
An elaborated wreath laying ceremony was held where in Major General Ranjan Mahajan, SM Additional Director General, NCC Dte JK&L, Major General Govardhan Singh Jamwal, (retired) laid the wreaths along with other dignitaries, Officers, ANOs and Cadets. The cadets recited patriotic poems in honour of Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal, MVC and explained the importance of the event. During the event, a tree plantation drive was also carried out in the area around Statue.
Major General Ranjan Mahajan, Additional Director General appreciated the spirit of patriotism, cohesiveness and discipline in the NCC cadets and the engagement of their efforts that they have showcased in safeguarding and upholding the legacy of the Nation’s War Heroes.
