JAMMU, Sep 28: A 25-year-old girl died of poisoning in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to police reports, the girl identified as Lalita Devi daughter of Ashok Kumar, resident of Kanachak, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence yesterday.
“In serious condition, the girl was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where she passed away today at about 5 am,” reports said. After postmortem, the body of the deceased was today handed over to her family for conducting last rites.
Kanachak police had taken cognizance of the matter.
