REASI, Sept 30: In a collision of two minibuses at Chandi Morh, Bharakh, one person died while another sustained injuries, here today.
The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (48), son of Des Raj, resident of Pora Kotla while the injured, namely Surjeet Singh (39), son of Laj Singh of Sanger was referred to District Hospital Reasi.
The accident took place between the minibuses bearing registration numbers JK14A-9258 and JK14-4980 resulting into serious injuries to two persons. One of them succumbed to injuries while condition of the other was stated to be stable.
Both the drivers fled from the spot after the accident. Police has seized both the vehicles and registered a case in this connection at Police Station Pouni.
Meanwhile, reports said that a worker died at Khanikote Railway construction site in Arnas, here today.
The VCCL company worker, hailing from Assam, died due to sliding on him when he was engaged at work inside the tunnel. He was identified as Dauharu Basumthary of Assam. Police has registered a case in this connection.
