RAMBAN, Sep 30: Ramban police has arrested two persons with 200 grams of charas.
“A police party of police station Ramban while on routine patrol duty on Wednesday, noticed suspected movement of two persons riding a Scooty bearing registration number JK19A-0511,” a police official said. He said they were asked to stop for routine checking and during the process of checking, approximately 200 grams of charas was recovered from their possession.
Both the accused were arrested and the charas seized, the official said, adding, the accused were identified as Sajad Ahmed (19) son of Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of Kowbag (tehsil Ramban) and Shakir Ahmed (20) son of Mohd Afzal, who lives near HSS Ramban.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 160/2021 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered at police station Ramban and further investigation started. The arrest as well as the recovery was under the close supervision of SHO Police Station Ramban.
