Col Suryavanshi, Tony kick-start blacktopping of Octroi road

JAMMU, Sept 30: Preparations are in full swing for commencing the beating retreat ceremony at Suchetgarh Border with Col. Ajay Suryavanshi along with District Development Council (DDC) Member, T S Tony inaugurating the blacktopping of Suchetgarh Octroi road today.
DDC member, TS Tony, in his address, hailed the decision of organizing Beating Retreat Ceremony at Suchetgarh Border and expressed his profound gratitude to the Central Government for starting this initiative which in the long run will boost tourism sector and also give fillip to Jammu’s economy. He conveyed his special thanks to LG administration for putting in strenuous efforts to see this historic event at the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir which was a long pending demand of the people of this border belt.
Tony said that this event on the border will be a game changer so far as tourism sector is concerned. Besides, boosting the overall economy of the region it will also generate employment and inculcate spirit of patriotism among youth and last but not the least it will also convey a significant message of normalcy and peace in the border belt of Jammu region.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Tourism Department of Jammu and Kashmir is already on the job trying to make this place more attractive for tourists and keeping in view the Beating Retreat Ceremony like Wagah Border being held very soon here, the infrastructure of this place is being developed accordingly.
Gaar Singh, Sonu Lambardar, Roshan Bhagat, Naib Sarpanch, Chakroi Lower and Shamlal Bhagat, Sarpanch Chakroi Upper were also present.
