Two thieves arrested with stolen items

KATHUA, Oct 1: Lakhanpur Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police spokesman, on August 23 this year, a case under FIR Number 94/2021 under Sections 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Lakhanpur on the written complaint of a man namely Arpan Sharma of Maroli District Kathua that some unknown thieves broken the lock of his house as well as almirah and stolen gold and silver ornaments, mobile phone and some other items.
On this, a police team led by SHO Lakhanpur Inspector Sumeet Sharma and assisted by PSI Swarn Singh Manhas under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua Sukhdev Singh swung into action and arrested accused persons namely Mehboob Akhter, son of Shamash Din and Arshad Ahmed, son of Sulemab, both residents of Dodla Tehsil Basholi District Kathua.
On their disclosure, police team recovered 109 grams gold ornaments, 160 grams silver ornaments and 1 mobile phone worth Rs 35000.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
