Three inter-state drug peddlers arrested with 7 kgs cannabis: SSP

JAMMU, Oct 5: Nagrota Police arrested three inter-state drug peddlers along with 7 kilograms of cannabis.
This was disclosed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Chandan Kohli.
Divulging the details, SSP said that a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration Number GJ19AM-9664.
“During checking, police team recovered 7 kilograms of cannabis and arrested three persons, who were identified as Rakesh Pal, son of Bans Raj and Deepak Pandurang, son of Pandurang Narewade, both residents of Maharashtra and Bhailal Ramshiroman Pal, son of Ramshiroman Pal of Surat Gujarat”, SSP informed.
A case under FIR Number 399/2021 under Section 8/20/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli said that Jammu Police has started to work on backward linkages i.e from where exactly drugs had been procured and the forward linkages also i.e where the drugs were supposed to be delivered.
He further said that intensive questioning is going on to know about their other accomplices in the crime.
