Sainik Samaj Party highlights key issues of people

JAMMU, Oct 5: Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) today highlighted the key issues of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here today, chief ministerial candidate of the Party Lt Gen PS Mehta (retired) along with Col SS Pathania (president of SSP) said that delimitation commission should take into consideration the fudged and manipulated census figures of 2011 and base the delimitation process on fresh census of 2021. He emphatically stated that discrimination policies towards Jammu region of last 73 years must come to a logical end and suffering of people of J&K must be mitigated.
“All developmental projects, raising and improvement of infrastructure, tourism development, equity in allocation of funds in industry, health care, education and road network must be equitable in both the regions,” he said. He also highlighted the plight of veterans and their families and demanded similar facilities and incentives which are in vogue in neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Mehta also demanded 80 percent reservation in Government and private jobs. He also stressed for making regular the services of daily wagers and NHM health workers with immediate effect. He further laid stress on providing 33 percent reservation to women Panchayat and Assembly elections.
Col Randhir Singh, Rajeev Luthra, Sukhjinder Syal, Virender Blowria, Manik Seth-all from central working committee of the party attended the press conference.
