4 burglars nabbed, stolen property recovered

Srinagar, Oct 5: Police in Pulwama today said to have arrested four burglars and recovered stolen property worth lakhs from their possession.
Four accused persons have been arrested during the investigation of three theft cases (Case FIR No. 245/2021, case FIR No. 275/2021 and case FIR No. 276/2021) lodged at Police Station Pulwama.
Police said that during the investigation of case FIR No. 245/2021 and case FIR No. 275/2021 three accused persons identified as Bashir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Zafran Colony, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh resident of Gund Darvesh Shopian and Abdul Majeed Sheikh, resident of Bore Check Arihal were arrested.
“On their disclosure stolen property including 01 golden necklace, 03 golden chains, 07 golden rings, 01 golden pound, 03 pairs of golden bangles, 02 golden earrings and cash amount Rs 7.5 lakh were recovered from different places within and outside of the district,” police said.
Moreover, police said, during the investigation of case FIR No. 276/2021 another accused person identified as Umar Farooq Dar, resident of Sumbal Rakh Asham, Bandipora was arrested and on his disclosure 32 sheep were recovered. All the accused persons have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
