MENDHAR, Oct 5: A 6-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a Tata Safari vehicle in Ari area of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as Mobeen Khan, son Mohd Shafiq, resident of Ari village. The incident took place when the Safari vehicle No. JK02AG/ 5453 driven by one Mohd Yasir, resident of Harni Galuta was on way to Gursai from Mendhar. At Talla Kassi hamlet in Ari area, it hit a 6 year-old child moving along the road.
Seriously injured boy was rushed to SDH Mendhar where doctors declared him as dead. The police seized the vehicle and arrested its driver. A case was registered in this connection.
