Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Oct 5: Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on reliable information, teams from Police Stations Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota laid check points in their respective jurisdictions and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police teams rescued 22 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Harpal Singh, son of Avatar Singh of Nanak Nagar District Jammu and Khalid Khan, son of Mohammad Bashir of District Ramban.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota and investigation started.
Police teams led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Devinder Singh and SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
