LEH, Oct 6: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson has launched the Mobile Application for tourist management in Leh district.
CEC Tashi Gyalson stated that the Mobile App will assist officials to track and maintain a selective database of the collection of environmental fees from tourists travelling to Leh, Ladakh. He added that the fee collected will be utilized in environmental projects in and around Leh and also to meet the salaries of field employees inducted by the District Administration Leh.
An introduction session was also conducted for the newly inducted ‘Tourist Assistants’ with the Executive Council of LAHDC Leh. The employees will be responsible for monitoring environmental fee collection from tourists at various checkpoints of Leh district.
The launch event was attended by Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor, DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Suse, CPO Leh, Tsewang Gyaltsan, Dy Director NIELIT Leh, Phuntsog Toldan and AD Tourism Leh, Tsering Spalzes.
