KATHUA, Oct 7: Two laborers were killed in an accident that took place on Bani Basohli road at Dharore near Mangiar last night when a machine rolled down into deep gorge.
The unfortunate accident took place on Bani- Basohli road at Maghiar Mohra Dharore last night when a loader machine of Venser Company with out number on its way from Bhoond to Bani rolled down from the road at Dharore and fell into about 100 feet deep Nallah. Two person were travelling in the Machine were killed in spot. They were identified as operator of Loader Machine , Lakhan Kumar, son of Roshan Lal of Fathapur tehsil and district Kangra (H P) and helper namely Bhag Hussain, son of Alla Dutta of Maghier Tehsil Bani ,.
After getting the information a police party of Police Station (PS) Bani led by SHO Bani Shahnawaz Giri visited on spot and shifted the dead bodies at CHC Bani for postmortem. Police registered a case under relevant section and started investigation into the matter.
It mentioned here that repair work of damage Tunnels of Sewa, Hydel Power Project by NHPC , is going on to restore the power generation for which machinery is put on job to complete the work earliest. Few days back in another accident two laborers were also killed during the repairs of tunnels.
