Shopkeeper deserts leaving behind toka

JAMMU, July 14: A shopkeeper deserted his shop in Bishnah town leaving behind a `toka’ in his car as he allegedly tried to attack Sub Inspector Vishal Kumar posted in Bishnah police station last evening.
Reports said SI Vishal Kumar was riding on a motorcycle along with his fiancée and cousin when he was trapped in traffic jam at congested Bishnah town. He asked the owner of Sandeep Boot House to properly park his vehicle.
Reports said this led to spat after which the shopkeeper, Sandeep Kumar alias Kali of Bishnah brought out a `toka’ but learning that the bike rider was a Sub Inspector, he fled away from the spot leaving the sharp-edged weapon in the car.
Police parties led by SHO Bishnah Narinder Singh rushed to the spot and seized the `toka’. A case under 4/15 Arms Act has been registered against Sandeep Kumar at Bishnah police station. He was still at large.
