JAMMU, July 14: Freedom Fighters Association held an impressive function to remember Comrade Dhanwantri, the great freedom fighter of Jammu, on his 60th death anniversary, at Ved Mandir, Ambphalla here today.
Romesh Dhingra, KAS, was the chief guest while Sukhminder Singh Maini and Pranav Shagotra, vice-presidents of Youth Congress, were the guests of honour.
All the members of the Association and the guests paid floral tributes to Comrade Dhanwantri.
On the occasion, speakers remembered other freedom fighters as well and asked the leadership of the country to shun degraded politics of divide and rule, regionalism, communalism and corrupt practices for the sake of votes. They advised them to rise like freedom fighters and give an honest leadership to the country.
Prominent who spoke on the occasion were Amar Chand Gupta, Parshotam Sharma, KK Mengi, BS Charak, Ashwani Pardhan, Harminder Singh and many others.
