SRINAGAR, July 14: A 16 years old girl reported in Police post Bazaar Kupwara alleging that she was raped by Showket Ahmad Malik, 30 son of Jabbar Malik of Hatmulla on Didikoot road in his Maruti Van bearing registration number JK05A 8637.
A police spokesperson said that a case FIR number 34/13 under Section 376 RPC was registered in police station Kupwara and investigation was taken up. The girl was medically examined at the hospital where doctors confirmed the rape.
Kupwara police arrested of the accused within hours of lodging of the case.
