KATHUA, July 14: Sarpanch of Bani East, Uttam Chand was today arrested by Police on the orders of SDM, Bani for creating obstructions in construction of Record Room and Garage in Mela Maidan Bani.
He was later released on personel bond. As per reports the SDM gave verbal orders to police to arrest the Sarpanch under Section 107/151 after he tried to create obstacles in construction of Record Room and Garage at Mela Maidan Bani and entered in an altercation with him and raised strong objections against the construction work.
