DDC Udhampur listens public grievances

UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: To address the grievances of the public, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib along with the team of district officers conducted public outreach cum grievances redress camp at Panchayat Ghar Dhaima of Block Khoon.
District Development Commissioner, Vice Chairperson, DDC Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania in the premises of Panchayat Ghar Dhaima of Block Khoon and listened to public issues and demands.
They demanded early completion of girls hostel building, construction of boundary wall in local schools, adequate teaching staff, augmentation of drinking water supply to various Panchayats and restoration of damaged water filtration plant, improving power voltage & installation of transformer, Inclusion of left out beneficiaries under PMAY plus Yojana & Widow pension schemes, construction of foot over bridges, opening of ration depot at Sunal. They also complained about the mobile frequency issue, delay in execution of various construction works viz PMGSY roads & Handing over PHC building etc.
They DDC Vice Chairperson reiterated that the aim of the public outreach drive is to apprise the Administration about the ground issues being faced by the general masses and to bring administration closer to people.
The DC gave a patient hearing and issued necessary directions to respective officers for early disposal of all genuine grievances and fulfillment of demands.
She also directed the Mechanical, Civil Wing of Jal Shakti Department and PDD to organise joint meetings in order to resolve the public issues on priority.
