UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: In a tragic incident, a 7- year old boy was mauled to death by a leopard at Kultyar in Panchari area, here this evening
According to the Police reports, 7- year old Surjeet Kumar, son of Romesh Kumar, resident of village Kultyar in Panchari Tehsil was taken away from outside his house around 7 pm. Later, mutilated body of the child was found from forest area, around two kilometers from house of the victim.
SHO Panchari, Vikas Dogra said that Police has shifted the dead body to PHC Panchari for the postmortem.
This was third attach by the wild beast in the area. Locals alleged that despite repeated requests to the Wildlife Department, no action was taken to capture the wild animal that has created panic in the area.
