UDHAMPUR, Oct 16: A man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Ramnagar.
A police spokesman said that Kaku Ram (45), son of Chet Ram of Rasian in Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence and the family members rushed him to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar. In view of his serious condition, doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur where he died during treatment.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, Police handed over the dead body to family members for the last rites.
