Rajbagh police rescues 8 bovines, seizes 2 vehicles

KATHUA, Oct 16: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Rajbagh, rescued eight bovines and seized two vehicles involved in the commission of the crime.
Police said it was reliably learnt that two Mahindra vehicles bearing Registration Number JK14D-9058 and JK02BN-2231 were enrouted from Kathua towards Jammu via link road Bhagwal Channi in which few bovines were tied in illegal manner. Acting on the same police team led by Inspector, Amit Sangra SHO PS Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO border, Sachit Mahajan- laid a naka at Bhagwal road. On seeing naka party drivers parked their vehicle far behind the naka point and managed to fled away.
During checking of the vehicle eight bovines were found loaded in it illegally. Police rescued all eight bovines and seized both the vehicles involved. It also registered a case FIR No. 206/2021 under section 188/IPC, 11PCA at Police Station, Rajbagh and further investigation has been started.
