JAMMU, Oct 18: Panun Kashmir (PK) held an emergency meeting with PM package employees and their parents to discuss the grave security developments in Valley leading to targeted killing of Hindus and non local population under a well orchestrated ploy by terrorists.
Addressing the employees and their parents, Dr Agnishekhar, convenor PK said, “Panun Kashmir has always maintained that PM package employment with the draconian rider SRO 412 is nothing but abject and brazen denial of genocide of Hindus of Kashmir by the State of India.” He added, “We have always maintained that situation in Kashmir was never conducive for return of displaced community which was duly conveyed to the aspirants of this package then and regularly since then.” Adding he said, “PM package aspirants would have given a thought to our advisory but the vested interests in community exploited the gullible helpless unemployed youth into trap.”
Dr Agnishekhar expressing dismay and shock over the behavior of administration after the recent spate of killings said, “Administration is supposed to be humane in its approach but the intimidations and threats issued by the local administration to PM Package employees who have shifted to safer location in Jammu is condemnable.” Lamenting the hypocritical attitude of administration he said, “At one end the administration has miserably failed to provide fool proof security and basic amenities to these employees and at the other end coercing them to report back to duties pending which action will be taken against them.”
Dr Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman while expressing deep anguish said, “Inspite of repeated warnings and inputs the administration has turned deaf ears towards the pitiable condition of PM package employees posted in the Valley,” adding, “These employees are being used as strategic hostages to test the troubled waters of Valley blatantly against the human rights of victims of genocide.” Calling upon the Union Government he said, “The Government of India needs to do a rethink on this policy and immediately stop the victimization of employees who have left Valley to save their lives.”
