Two die, 75 test +ve in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 18: Seventy five fresh COVID positive cases were today reported from Jammu and Kashmir and two in Ladakh.
While 63 cases were registered in Kashmir, 12 were recorded in Jammu region.
Among 12 cases, seven were reported from Jammu district, three in Doda and one each in Ramban and Reasi districts. Rest of the districts didn’t report new cases today.
Twelve persons recovered from the virus leaving 130 active positive cases in Jammu region.
Both fresh COVID positive cases in Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
The UT of Ladakh now has 36 active positive cases—35 in Leh and one in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 63 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Two persons died of COVID-19 here taking the death toll to 4,428.
Those who tested positive include 39 from Srinagar, 10 from Baramulla, 1 from Budgam, 3 from Pulwama, 4 from Kupwara, 3 from Anantnag, 1 from Ganderbal and 2 from Kulgam.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 206,946 including 204,007 recoveries and 2,253 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 816 including 686 from Kashmir division.
With 100 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 325,893 which is 98.42 percent of the total cases.
