Bari Brahmana police recovers cable worth Rs 54 lakh, arrests one

SAMBA, Oct 19: Bari Brahmana Police recovered stolen cable wire worth Rs 54 lakh within few hours after it was stolen. Police also arrested one person in this connection and more arrests in this case can’t be ruled out.
Police said on the written complaint of Project Manager of Power Grid Station, Mohammed Zafar son of Irshad Ali of U.P at present Sanik Colony that HT ABC Cable 11 KV 6 drums having cost of Rs. 54 lakh was stolen from the Grid Station of Lane No. 3, Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana late last night and the police swung into quick action and recovered the cable.
On the basis of complaint FIR No. 260/2021 U/S 379 was registered in the Bari Brahmana Police Station(PS) and acting swiftly on this FIR Bari Brahmana police under the supervision of SHO, Rajesh Sharma and SDPO Baribrahmana Nihar Ranjan recovered six drums of HT ABC Cable 11 KV and also arrested the accused namely Sohail Malik, son of Seed Malik of H.No. 299, W.No.11 Kaswa Budhana, district Muzzaffnagar, U.P.
The police however said that some more arrests in this case are also expected. The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma. The thief has been put to sustained interrogation and further investigation is going on.
