Shabir lays foundation of WSS

RAJOURI, June 3: Minister of State for Power, Forest, CA&PD and Transport, Shabir Ahmed Khan today laid foundation of Water Supply Scheme Panjgrian Rajouri. The construction work of this scheme would be completed at a cost of Rs 4.78 crore. The scheme after completion would cater drinking water requirement of over 10000 population of this border area.
The Minister also laid foundation of construction of Middle school building Chanba, which would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh.
Addressing a public meeting after laying foundations of these projects, the Minister said that Government was well abreast about people’s problems and developmental needs. He said that in this regard the Government has taken several reformative steps to push forward the all-round development of the State. He said up gradation of infrastructure under core sectors has received focused attention of the Government during last few years. He said it was the endeavor of the present Government that people of hilly and remote areas also witnessed all-round development in their areas.
The Minister said that power infrastructure in Panjgrain border area would be upgraded. He said in this regard a project report of Rs 1.10 crore has been submitted to Center for approval of funds under R-APDRP .He said that construction work of receiving station Gambier Brahmana is apace at an estimated cost of Rs 2.62 crore and after its completion the power supply in the area will be improved to a large extent.
