Seminar on ‘Legacy of Tashi Rabgias’ held

LEH, Oct 20: Commemorating 95th birth and 1st death anniversary of late scholar Tashi Rabgias, Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Leh and Tashi Rabgyas Memorial Foundation under the aegis of LAHDC Leh today organised a day-long seminar under the banner ‘Legacy of Tashi Rabgias and his Contributions to Ladakhi Literature & Culture’.
Executive Councillor for Art & Culture, LAHDC-Leh, Stanzin Chosphel was the chief guest and six prominent scholars/writers of Ladakh including Prof. Jamyang Gyaltsen, Prof. Lobzang Tsewang, Dr Urgyan Dadul, Nawang Tsering Shakspo, Tsewang Dorje and Dongbos presented papers on aspects of life of late Tashi Rabgias and his contributions to the Ladakhi culture in general and literature in particular.
EC Chosphel in his address said that such kinds of literary functions and seminars need to be organised at a regular interval with the involvement of youths.
Dr Nawang Tsering, former Director, CIBS chaired the second session.
Other dignitaries present during the seminar were president Ladakh Culture Forum, Mipham Otsal and its executive members.
A threadbare discussion was also held.
