KISHTWAR, Oct 20: Under “Operation Sanjeevani”, police arrested a man along with 1130 bottles of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Kishtwar laid a naka near Hasti area and intercepted a Mahindra Pickup bearing registration number JK17-6857.
During checking, police team recovered 1130 bottles of illicit liquor and arrested one person, who was identified as Mudassar Hussain, son of Sher Mohammad, a resident of Tippri Tehsil Thathri District Doda.
A case under FIR Number 234/2021 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and hunt has been launched to nab one more person involved in smuggling of illicit liquor.
