RAJOURI, Oct 20: A programme was organised here today by National Development Organisation (NDO) in collaboration with Public Technocrats Society to celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
The programme was inaugurated by Mushtaq Ahmed, Councillor of Municipal Council Rajouri by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Kuldeep Raj, Municipal Councillor presided over the programme and talked on the life of the saint and made a mention about the epic Ramayana authored by him.
On this occasion prizes were given to the prominent social workers and also to the best Safai Karamcharis of the area.
Many prominent persons were present on the occasion and the programme ended with vote of thanks by Zulifikar Malik, chairman NDO.
