Teachers Joint Action Committee demands resolution of issues

KATHUA, Oct 22: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) was held today at Bani in Kathua, under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma.
The meeting was attended by a large number of teachers from zones Bani and Basoli. Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma demanded the comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT Scheme as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 20 years.
He also demanded favour of Education Department in court to get inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits; Old Pension Scheme in favour of NPS employees of the UT; regularisation of left out ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time; conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, conversion of Headteachers (SSA) Posts to non plan posts of masters to resolve their salary issue; DPC of teachers as the same hasn’t been done since 2014 and issuance of enrollment permission in favour of teachers who joined the course after 01.01.2021.
Vinod Sharma appealed Lt Governor, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary School Education to resolve the issues of the teachers, especially those appointed under ReT Scheme as they have been working in far flung areas of the UT with dedication.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukesh Khajuria, Sham Sharma, Anita Kiran, Gajinder Chark, Sanjay Sharma, Sanjay Lalhal , Des Raj, Reena Choudhary, Ram Lal Sharma, Pritam Sharma, Suljinder Singh, Nagishwer Singh, Jitender Singh, Sunil Padha, Asharf, Sanjay Kumar, Jatinder Kumar, MD Azum, Roshan Sharma, Jai Lal, Sudesh Phagan, Des Raj, Suneel Kumar, Daleep Singh, Shanti Devi, Pankaj Chark, Reenu Sharma, Rekha Devi, Jia Lal and Sudesh Master.
