Manager, 3 other employees of FCI caught accepting bribe

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Anti Corruption Bureau has arrested Manager and other employees of the Food Corporation of India, Shaheed Gang, Srinagar for demanding and accepting bribe for unloading the truck.
The ACB had received a written complaint alleging therein that employees of FCI Depot Srinagar were unnecessarily delaying to unload the truck and issuance of challan thereof. More than 200 vehicles per month are unloaded at FCI Shaheed Gang Srinagar.
As per the complaint, Manager Abdul Qayoom and other officials use delaying tactics for unloading of vehicles and demand bribe for issuance of challan.
After verification of the complain and registration of FIR in this connection, ACB laid a successful trap and caught red-handed Abdul Qayoom (Manager) and three other officials of FCI, Shaheed Gang Srinagar for demanding and accepting bribe amount of Rs 1500 from the complainant.
The accused were arrested and taken into custody by ACB team. Search was also conducted. Further investigation into the case is on.
