Srinagar, Oct 29: Police in Ganderbal today said to have recovered three missing girls in just 12 hours.
In this regard, Police Station Kheerbawani received a written complaint from the parents of three minor girls hailing from the Tulmulla area stating that their daughters had not returned home after school.
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 62/ 2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kheerbawani and investigation was initiated.
On receipt of the report, SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar constituted a special team under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal, Abdul Maajid for tracking the missing girls.
During the investigation, after strenuous efforts, a police team led by SHO PS Kheerbawani Insp Sajad Ahmad along with the active assistance of Udhampur Police traced the said missing girls from Udhampur.
Pertinently, the missing girls were recovered within 12 hours and handed over to their parents after legal formalities.
