2 duped of cash, belongings by Jahar Khurani Gang, admitted in GMC

KATHUA, Oct 29: The Jahar Khurani Gang targeted the two poor labourers of Billawer tehsil in Kathua district and looted their cash and belongings after leaving them in unconscious condition in a bus which was on way from Delhi to Jammu late last night. Both the victims were admitted in GMC Kathua in unconscious condition.
One of them was identified as Partap Singh of Koti Chandyhar and another belongs to Dhihota (Billawar).
As per reports both were working as labouers in Delhi and each of them had cash of Rs 35000 to 40000 and some luggage for family to celebrate Diwali. They boarded a Haryana Roadways bus from Bus Stand Delhi to Jammu. On the way to Jammu they fell prey to the Jahar Khurani Gang. The gang members looted their cash and belonging and left them in an unconscious state in the bus.
The bus conductor de- boarded them at Lakhanpur at their destination point. The local people noticed them in unconscious state and informed the police. A police team shifted them to GMC Kathua for treatment.
The condition of both the victims is stated to be unstable and they were not in a position to record their statements to police.
The BDC Chairman, Baggan, Nisha Devi showed serious concern over the incident and act of looting by Jahar Khurani Gang . She said that this is not the first such unfortunate incident. Numbers of poor innocent labourers fell prey of gangsters and were duped of their hard earn money and belongings. She said that two persons have lost their lives and some persons became physically unfit after falling prey to Jahar Khurani Gang. She alleged that the J&K police or other agency did not take cognizance of such incidents and innocent labourers become regular victims of the gang. She has appealed to LG of J&K to constitute a special team of investigating agency to arrest the culprit involved in the such looting cases.
