Shah creates new ray of hope for Paharis: Vibodh

RAJOURI, Oct 29: Recent acknowledgement of the long pending and genuine demands of Pahari Tribal community from Union Home Minister, Amit Shah has created a new ray of hope to this neglected community.
These remarks were made by BJP senior leader and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta while addressing selected gatherings of Paharies at various places in the district today. He also complimented Amit Shah for his visionary outlook for considering the Pahari community capable of giving a future Chief Minister to J&K. This he said is a sign of great trust and faith which the Central Government imposes on the well talented, poor and marginalised Pahari Tribal community of J&K.
Vibodh further mentioned that such great faith from the top leadership of India imposes a great sense of responsibility for Paharies of J&K. He said that at the moment the need of the hour is to remain united and this is the only way to move the community and our area towards a great era of peace and prosperity. While highlighting the history of the struggle by Pahari community, Vibodh said that genuine demand for ST status remained unnoticed by successive Governments even after lot of commitments and recommendations by the concerned stakeholders and commissions constituted for the purpose.
Moreover, being residents of such difficult areas of upper reaches, whether of Pir Panjal Range or other ranges, a good chunk of Pahari people always remained dejected.
While appreciating the response of each and every person present in these gatherings, Vibodh said that present time is the time of hope and justice. This he said is the only reason that today Central Government under the able leadership of PM Modi has acknowledged the great sacrifices made by Pahari community for maintaining peace and harmony in the Pir Panjal region of J&K.
Prominent among others who accompanied Vibodh Gupta to these far off areas of Rajouri included, Ranjeet Tara, Javed Khan, Afraz Khan, Azim Ahmed, Bau Ram Sharma, Ravat Sharma, Kundan Sharma,Sourabh,Neeraj Chandan, Rahul Sharma and Suresh Sharma.
