SRINAGAR, July 19: A man received severe burn injuries when he tried to set himself ablaze by sprinkling an inflammable substance on his body in Baramulla district of North Kashmir, a police spokesman said today.
The spokesman said he has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Bukhari, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Peer Mohalla, Kreeri. Bukhari was removed to Sub District Hospital, Kreeri, where doctors referred him to SKIMS, Srinagar, the spokesman said. He said a case FIR number 61/2013 under Section 309 RPC was registered this regard.
