Lord Krishna continues to be inspiration for all: Yudhvir

36th Varshik Utsav at Shree Krishan Mandir

JAMMU, Oct 31: The 36th Varshik Utsav of Shree Krishna Mandir was held with great enthusiasm, religious fervour and gaiety at Janipur here, today.
Yudhvir Sethi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir vice president was the chief guest on the occasion.
The celebrations at the sanctum sanctorum of Shree Krishna Mandir Janipur commenced with the Pooja of Bhagwan Krishan performed with utmost devotion and sanctity by Shree Jugeshvar Mahatma amidst the large number of devotees present on the occasion. The Pooja was followed by Dwaj Aarohan ceremony which was performed by the BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi along with Shree Jugeshvar Mahatma amidst devotees chanting bhajans and slogans in praise of Lord Shree Krishna.
The main attraction of today’s programme was that the renowned singer Rajiv Kumar joined by the Temple Committee members in performing the Kirtan that mesmerized the whole audience including the devotees who had come to pay obeisance at the feet of Lord Krishna at the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
While addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi impressed upon the need for following the teachings propagated by the religious scriptures so as to make the globe a peaceful place to live. He said that Lord Krishna has been and shall continue to be an inspiration for the people across the globe irrespective of their religious affiliations especially in view of the fact that he fought for the righteousness and the rights of the common people of his times.
He also stressed upon the people especially the youth to leave no stone unturned in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in the society at large.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ravish Mengi, Mandal president, corporator, Sunita Gupta besides many BJP workers.
