2 narcotic smugglers held, 55 grams heroin seized

UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: Udhampur police today arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered 55 grams of contraband substance heroin from their possession.
The accused, identified as Qadar Khan, son of Ahmed Dulla of Majalata and Sushil Sharma, son of Paras Ram of Kaghote, Ramanagar were travelling in a vehicle (JK21F-6705) which was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur Chaman Gorka under the supervision of Dy Sp Hqrs Sahil Mahajan at Jakhani.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 412/2021, under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Police today recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested the alleged, identified as Gulzar Ahmad, son of Satar Mohd of Chak Sudhmadev, present putting up at Katra.
The vehicle (JK14-5209), owned by Bansi Lal of Phalata, Udhampur was stolen from outside his house and a case FIR No. 236/21 U/S 379 was registered in this connection at PS Udhampur. The stolen vehicle was recovered from Chopra Shop Udhampur.
