RAJOURI, Nov 1: The body of a new born baby was found lying in a garbage dump near Govt Medical College, Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that the body was noticed by an employee who informed other staff and police. The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
Principal of the GMC, Rajouri, Dr Brij Mohan Gupta said that an inquiry is underway to ascertain whether any woman gave birth to a stillborn baby in the hospital over the past few days. “ We are also checking record and CCTV footage of the past two days,” Gupta said.
He claimed that a three member committee has been formed in this regard. He said Deputy Commissioner Rajouri has also deputed a team led by Tehsildar for an inquiry.
