Huawei seeks out to users, launches Huawei clubs

BANGALORE, July 20:  Chinese telecom giant Huawei, making inroads into the mobile space in India, today launched the Huawei Club, a unique platform that aimed to market its fans in the country and technology enthusiasts.
The company which has made deep inroads into the communications sector through its products including set top boxes was a recent entrant into the smart phone market and is aiming high to be among the top.
Talking to UNI, Huawei India R and D centre Chief Operating Officer Wilson Wang said India is the second country after China where such a fan club has been launched, ”It will be a mutually beneficial engagement with the Huawei users getting hands on knowledge about the company products and Huawei getting valuable suggestions and idea from the user community to make its  products more customer friendly”.
He said as many as 20 such centres were being planned across the country with members of the club experiencing the upcoming  and latest Huawei rage of smartphones, tablets, interact with technology experts, developers and user interface experts. It would also serve as a platform for the members to provide innovative ideas for enhancing the product experience.
Mr Wang said the Club would focus on its new User Interface, the Emotion UIO, which is a standard UI in most of the Huawei smartphones launched recently. Emotion Ui was a Huawei  developed Android based man machine interaction system for smart terminals.
Huawei has set up one of the largest research and  development centres for various telecom devices. It has also  has a manufacturing base. Mr Wang said as the market grows,  the company might set up a manufacturing base for smart phones  in India too.
