Several new faces inducted into JKTJAC central body

JAMMU, Nov 3: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee ( JKTJAC) today announced induction of some prominent leaders and assigned them organizational responsibilities.
Senior leader of Rehabr-e Taleem Teachers Forum Aftab Malik joined JKTJAC and was inducted as UT Vice Chairman. Surjit Singh Chib was inducted as UT Vice President and Ravinder Manhas as District President Jammu. Mohinder Partap Singh has been given the responsibility of Zonal President, Zone Jourian.
Announcement in this regard was made during a press conference, here today, where the new officers bearers were also introduced to media. The press conference was addressed by JKTJAC President Vinod Sharma, who also raised some burning issues of teachers and sought favour of the department in the High Court for getting inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits as they have devoted this period on meagre pay .
He also demanded comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 21 years and suffering badly.
Raising the issue of old pension scheme in favour of NPS employees, he said that all such employees be provided old pension scheme so that their post retirement life not be in trouble. He requested the DSEJ to regularize the pending ReTs who are due for same for a long.
Sukhdev Singh Sumeria UT Secretary, Rajesh Jamwal Provincial president Jammu, Sukesh Khajuria, Chief Press and Media Secretary; Lekh Raj Parihar, District President Udhampur; Sajad Malik, DP Doda; Hari Lal Nag, DP Ramban and others were also present on the occasion.
