JAMMU, Nov 3: Dogri song ‘Panchtara’ written by Sushma Rani (Lecturer at SRML Hr. Sec. School), sung by Pallavi Koul, composed and directed by Surya Dinesh was released here today by Rishpal Singh, Additional Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and Parveen Sharma, Director S.R College of Competitions and Ex Chairman CCBL Jammu.
The song is a reflection of the childhood memories of the Writer who feels nostalgic about the life very close to nature offering many beautiful gifts in flora and fauna and the present day state of deterioration of those gifts.
Speaking on the occasion Sushma Rani said she wrote the song as a tribute to her native place and dedicated the same to her parents, siblings and friends.
Her father Nand Lal (retired Tehsildar) was also present on the occasion.
Ramnagar Tourism Development Society took initiative to produce video of the song and shot the same around deodar trees and meadows of Dudu-Basnatgarh.
Anjali Gupta, Principal SRML Hr. Sec. School, Rekha Rani, Principal Girls Hr. Sec. School, Mubarak Mandi, Vijaya Thakur Sr. Lect. and a renowned Dogri poet, Anshu Thakur Sr. Lect. and the whole crew of the song was also present on the occasion.
