Srinagar, Nov 5: Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) J&K President Ravinder Raina today said that the party will emerge victorious in the upcoming Assembly elections while stating that J&K is going to have a Chief Minister from the BJP for the first time.
Talking to reporters on the side-lines of Bhaviya Pooja at Shankaracharya temple here, Raina also said that denying airspace to Srinagar-Sharjah direct flight indicates that Pakistan has never been a “well-wisher” of the people of Kashmir.
“There is a BJP wave in J&K, and the way PM Modi has worked for the betterment of the people, everyone in Kashmir is happy as people are witnessing development,” he said.
Raina said that the elections are going to be held after the process of delimitation is over and said that every political leader in Kashmir knows that BJP is going to emerge victoriously.
“The elections will be held after the process of delimitation and every political leader has come to know that when the elections will be held, BJP will emerge victorious with full majority and J&K will have the Chief Minister from BJP,” he said, adding BJP has won BDC, DDC elections, and the way the people are helping the party, “I am hopeful that BJP will see the victory,” he said.
Raina said that Pakistan has been disrupting the peace in Kashmir by sending “guns, bullets” earlier as well, “now they are not able to come to terms with the development which is taking place in J&K and have resorted to denial of airspace which will hardly affect us,” he said, adding that Govt has been actively working to ensure that there is a large scale development in J&K.
He said the flight will still operate as the step has been taken by the Home Minister in order to facilitate the travel of people from Kashmir to UAE, Dubai and other countries. “The flight will still operate; earlier it was direct, now it will go indirectly. It will not affect us at all,” he added.
