JAMMU, Nov 5: Terming empowerment of Jammu province as a mission, former MLA and BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today called for collective efforts in this regard, saying this will eventually lead to empowerment of Jammu and Kashmir and thereby a strong nation.

All, irrespective of region, religion, caste or creed must have equal rights on the resources and role in the decision making and governance, he added.
He prayed for peace, tranquility and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, as also the nation.
Offering good wishes to the devotees after paying obeisance, Rana hoped the auspicious occasion to spread the universal message of Sanatan Dharma for peace and amity besides inspiring the people to rededicate themselves to the service on humanity.
Priya Sethi, former Minister, Yudhveer Sethi, Purnima Sharma, Dy Mayor JMC, Parveen Kerni, Som Nath Khajuria, Dharamveer Singh Jammwal, Anita Sharma Corporator, Narotam Sharma, Corporator, Sham Singh, besides others were present on the occasion.
Rana invoked the great message of Holy Geeta, hoping that each one of us will do the ‘Karma’ with best intentions and leave the reward to Almighty. “Once imbibing this spirit, the society will grow harmoniously with ill will for none”, he said.
Complimenting Mahant Rameshwar Dassji Maharaj for keeping up the tradition of observing the Puja as per traditions, Mr Rana hoped that blessings of Lord Krishna will help in eschewing the tendencies of hate and foster love for humanity.
He exhorted the people of Jammu to maintain their hospitality towards pilgrims being the natives of the Temple City, the gateway to revered Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji and Shri Amarnathji Shrines. The pilgrim tourism has been the biggest blessing for this part of the country, which has sustained the local economy in a big way.
