Ex-Services League constitutes committee for 7th Pay Commission

JAMMU, July 20: Reacting to the growing frustration among the ex- servicemen about the anomalies in the implementation of various pay commission decisions, president Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League, Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, today constituted a special committee to go into the details and frame concrete recommendations for the 7th Pay Commission.
The committee will also categorically project the actions pending with the Central Govt regarding implementation of 6th Pay Commission. The committee under the JKESL president as Chairman, will include Col Dr Virendra K Sahi as advisor, Col S D Saraswat as chief coordinator, Lt Cols K S Samyal, D S Salaria and Wing Commander Ganga Singh Chib as the members.
The committee considered various suggestions received and shall further coordinate suggestions from all the states of the country to frame draft recommendations to be projected by Indian Ex-Services League (IESL).
The committee noted with concern that in spite of very positive assurances by the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister and recommendations of various committees, the Central Govt was  dragging its feet in releasing the benefits of One Rank One Pension (OROP).
