KATHUA, Nov 7: A young woman was killed and her husband and two children were seriously injured in a road accident at Dayalachack bridge on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Kathua district today.
The deceased woman was identified as Veenu Kumari, 31, wife of Ashok Kumar resident of village Changi, Hiranagar. The seriously injured husband and minor children were identified as Ashok Kumar, Amanat Dogra and Manvi Dogra.
As per police reports they were travelling on a Motorcycle No JK02AM 7163. They were hit by a truck bearing Registration Number, JK08C 6646 from rear on bridge at Dayalachack on National Highway. The woman was killed on the spot and other family members were seriously injured. The injured were immediately shifted to SDH Hiranagar. They were later referred to GMC Jammu in serious condition. The Hirangar police seized the truck and started investigation into the matter.
