Srinagar, Nov 7: Ganderbal Police today said to have arrested 2 gamblers from a gambling site and seized stake money from their possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Station Kangan under the supervision of SDPO Kangan raided a gambling site at Mammar, Kangan following an input about gambling activities and apprehended two gamblers.
“They have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Magray. son of Abdul Rashid Magray resident of Padabal Cheerwan and Arshad Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Qadir Khan resident of Margund Kangan,” police said.
The police seized stake money worth Rs 10,900 and playing cards from the gamblers. They were arrested and shifted to Police Station.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 129/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station, Kangan and an investigation has been initiated.
